Corrections Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Our Commitment

We take factual accuracy seriously. When we get something wrong — a price, a credential requirement, a program detail, a safety guideline — we correct it promptly and transparently. We do not silently edit articles or remove inconvenient facts.

How to Report an Error

If you find a factual error in any of our content, please let us know:

When reporting an error, it helps if you include:

  • The URL or title of the article
  • The specific claim you believe is incorrect
  • A source for the correct information, if you have one

What Happens Next

When we receive an error report, we follow this process:

  1. Investigate. We check the claim against our original sources and, where needed, verify against current official sources.
  2. Correct the record. If we confirm an error, we update the article with the correct information.
  3. Note the correction. We add a correction note to the article that describes what was changed and when. The correction note remains as a permanent part of the article.
  4. Update the date. The article’s “last reviewed” or “last updated” date is changed to reflect the correction.

Types of Corrections

  • Factual corrections — errors in prices, program details, credential requirements, safety standards, or other verifiable facts. These are corrected and noted as soon as they are confirmed.
  • Outdated information — facts that were accurate when published but have since changed (e.g., a program changed its pricing or a certification body updated its requirements). These are updated with the new information and the new verification date.
  • Clarifications — statements that were not wrong but were misleading or unclear. These are revised for clarity, with a note explaining the change.

Review Dates

Each article on this site includes a date indicating when it was last materially reviewed. This date reflects when we last verified the key facts in the article against current sources — not just when we made a minor formatting change.
